We fill our cylinder bottles up to their 20lb weight as they were intended to be – you can check it out yourself. 
We also offer 30lb exchange cylinders bottles in select locations as well.

STEP 1
FIND A cylinder EXCHANGE LOCATION

Madison River Propane works through local retailers to provide many convenient tank exchange locations.
Use our location search to search for an Madison River Propane exchange location near you.

STEP 2
BUY OR EXCHANGE

Once at your nearest location, talk to a sales representative about buying or exchanging your tank.
Please be sure to leave your used tank outside the store when you go in.

Make sure to mention whether you are exchanging a tank or buying a spare. 
Once you have an Madison River Propane tank, exchanges are easy and affordable.
Remember that propane never goes bad or ages, it is a great idea to keep a full spare tank available.

STEP 3
INSTALL YOUR PROPANE BBQ Cylinder

When you get your new tank home, we know you will want to get it connected and ready as quickly as possible.

Here are a few tips:
— Uncover your grill before connecting or disconnecting your propane tank
— Be sure the grill (or other appliance) is turned OFF before connecting or disconnecting your propane tank
— Be sure the hand valve is turned OFF (to the right)before connecting or disconnecting your propane tank
— Turn the coupler to the right to connect your tank. Be sure it is fully screwed in but not so tight that you will not be able to unscrew it when the time comes for a new tank
— Turn the gas valve to open. Make sure the gas line is secure and listen for leaks.
